Why Firms Should Use The Law Society’s TA Forms
Compliance by Design
By using InTouch, firms work with the most current, official versions of TA forms. This ensures regulatory compliance and eliminates the risk of outdated templates, human error, and oversights.
Complete Automation
InTouch brings every touchpoint of a conveyancing case into one system. Case data already collected in InTouch can be mapped to the relevant sections of TA forms, reducing data entry and improving accuracy.
Build TA Forms into Custom Workflows
One of InTouch’s strengths is customisable case management workflows. Firms can define, automate, and refine how legal work gets done.
The TA Form integration allows you to:
Trigger automated workflows when a case reaches the TA form stage, prompting client invitations and notifying staff on completion.
Set conditional rules to flag missing information or auto-assign tasks when specific form fields are completed.
Standardise your process across teams and branches, so every matter follows a compliant process by default.
With this integration, firms gain the power to embed Law Society compliance directly into their operational playbook, aligning form handling with the broader case journey.
TA Forms available in InTouch
TA4 – Required Commonhold Information
(1st Edition, 2007)
Used when selling or purchasing a commonhold property, this form gathers essential information about the commonhold arrangements, including the commonhold association and any shared responsibilities. It supports transparency and helps both parties understand the structure of the commonhold title.
TA6 – Property Information Form
(4th Edition, 2020)
A core document in the conveyancing process, the TA6 form is completed by the seller to provide key details about the property. This includes boundaries, utilities, disputes, planning, and environmental matters. It is typically required for every residential purchase and plays a crucial role in pre-contract disclosure.
TA7 – Leasehold Information Form
(3rd Edition, 2023)
This form is completed by the seller of a leasehold property, usually alongside the TA6 form. It covers details specific to leasehold ownership, including ground rent, service charges, lease terms, and landlord contact information. Essential for buyers assessing leasehold obligations and costs.
TA8 – New Home Information Form
(1st Edition, 2007)
Designed for the purchase of newly built homes, this form collects information from the developer, such as building warranties, planning approvals, and construction details. For leasehold flats, TA7, LPE1, and LPE2 forms should also be used for a comprehensive overview.
TA9 – Commonhold Information Form
(1st Edition, 2007)
Used to capture detailed information relevant to commonhold properties, including common parts, shared obligations, and contributions to the commonhold association. Helps ensure buyers have full insight into the structure and commitments of commonhold ownership.
TA10 – Fittings and Contents Form
(3rd Edition, 2013)
Completed by the seller, this form outlines what is included and excluded in the property sale—such as fixtures, appliances, or furniture. It helps avoid misunderstandings and provides clarity on what the buyer can expect to remain in the property upon completion.
TA13 – Completion Information and Undertakings
(4th Edition, 2023)
Completed by the seller’s solicitor, this form provides final confirmation of key matters before completion, including arrangements for vacant possession and discharge of mortgages. Some responses are considered formal undertakings and carry legal obligations.
